Sarracenia flava is an American Pitcher Plant found in bogs from Alabama up the eastern seaboard into Virginia. Flava var. flava varieties occur throughout the range and are characterized by some veining in the pitchers but not quite the extent as var. ornata. Sunny conditions required for full color and flava produces its best pitchers early in the season.
