This Bornean species produces magnificently shaped flared peristomes on robust pitcher bodies with colors ranging from deep brown to pink to candy cane striped.
If we had to pick a favorite species of carnivorous plant then Nepenthes veitchii would certainly be in the running. Most veitchii in cultivation are descendants of plants found at intermediate elevations. However, we have found that veitchii is very tolerant of a wide range of temperatures and have grown them well in our lowland, intermediate and highland houses. Veitchii prefers good drainage and we recommend using an open mix with net pots and an open mix and letting the media dry out to just moist between waterings.
This is a selected clone out of Thailand with Bareo lineage. All plants are the same clone which is a beautiful striped and squat selection. A great plant to add to any collection or breeding program.
