This New Guinea native is the largest of all the bulbophyllum orchids, with leaves that reach up to 5 ft long. The long, pendant leaves are reminiscent of the genus Phalaenopsis, which is where this plant gets its species name. It produces inflorescences of red flowers that are covered in yellow hairs.
