Anthurium sp. nov Darién (besseae aff.)
Anthurium sp. nov. Darien is a yet undescribed species from premontane forests in the Darién Province of Panama. Some localities include premontane forest near Cerro Pirre. This species is a gorgeous velvety leaved species with beautiful veining and amazing color. This species was circulated by South American nurseries as besseae aff. Although it has some superficial similarity to crystallinum and the true besseae from Bolivia, it's quite distinct in many characteristics. Emergent growth opens up red and the backside stays red as well even as the leaf hardens. The color it imparted on offspring makes these prime candidates for any breeding program.
This product is considered an Intermediate Tropical plant. Please see our Aroid Shipping guidelines and Shipping and Guarantees policy.
