Philodendron melanochrysum
The leaves on Philodendron melanochrysum are velvety with an iridescent sheen. It is commonly called the black gold Philodendron because of the color the leaves take when first opening vs. when matured and aged. This is a strongly climbing species that requires a totem for support in order to produce full sized leaves. If given warm, humid conditions with adequate light, it grows FAST.
