This is one of the most interesting crosses made in recent years. Both parents are from Sulawesi. Nepenthes undulatifolia is famous for its wavy leaves and peltate leaf insertion while hamata has an unbelievable clawed peristome. So far, we’ve found this hybrid to exhibit the clawed peristome of hamata and hold a large number of pitchers at a given time. The jury is still out on the leaf insertion and undulating leaves (which don’t appear on pure undulatifolia until they are much larger). This cross would grow best in highland conditions with good humidity.
