Nepenthes truncata has been in cultivation for a long time and has been horticulturally bred a number of times. However, we believe this may be one of the best crosses produced based on the outstanding features of both parents. Nepenthes truncata (d) #1 produces beautiful yellow/orange striped traps which darken to red they mature. And Nepenthes truncata (c)-E produces giant pitchers with has a extremely robust shape and widely flared, striped peristome. We've already noticed all the seedlings we've grown out so far to have red coloration which is often not expressed in young truncata.
