Nepenthes singalana hails from the Barisan range in Sumatra. The form from Gunung Tujuh is at the lower extent of its range and it is renown for its deep red coloration and more pronounced teeth than other forms. The plants offered here are grown from seed so there may be some variability. There is also a chance for introgression or hybridization of the sympatric species in the area, Nepenthes aristolochioides and spathulata.
