Nepenthes sanguinea D4
Nepenthes sanguinea is native to peninsular Malaysia where it grows at highland and intermediate elevations. This clone in particular makes an excellent starter plant. It was bred by Bill Baumgartl years ago and has the designation “D4”. We’ve found it to be one of the hardiest Nepenthes we’ve ever grown and it grows rapidly in our lowland, intermediate and highland greenhouses. It produces large traps that attain and impressive size and have a beautiful contrast between the interior of the pitcher and the rest of its body. See our Nepenthes growing guide for more information on how to grow them.
This product is considered a Intermediate Tropical plant. Please see our Shipping and Guarantees policy for cold/hot weather shipping guidelines.
