A beautiful species endemic to the Hose Mountains of Central Sarawak featuring one of the most beautiful peristomes of any in the genus. The lower pitchers are cylindrical and beautifully striped; however, the uppers are its forte and exhibit elaborately flared peristomes. Nepenthes platychila is best grown as an intermediate. We have grown it as a lowlander and it does fine as well. Grown as a highlander, platychila will grow but will be slower and only hold 1-2 pitchers at a time.
Plants for sale are an exceptionally vigorous clone out of Carnivero's lab, CAR-0166 "CC2".
