Nepenthes macrophylla may be one of the most impressive species in the genus. The pitchers are extremely toothy, colorful and long lasting. The plants truly live up to their name and attain huge size (over decades) as they scramble across the upper montane forest scrub on Gunung Trusmadi. Plants are often slow growing at a small size but really pick up as the plants get larger and have a more established root system.
