Nepenthes hamata is renown for having the most fearsome teeth of any Nepenthes species. It is a highland plant requiring warm days and cool nights with good light and humidity. I have found the Nepenthes hamata clones from Lumut to be the most robust growers of all hamata available in cultivation. The plants have been greenhouse hardened and are much more tolerant of swings in temperature and humidity than plants grown under softer conditions or those freshly out of tissue culture.
