Nepenthes bicalcarata, Marudi
This classic species hails from the steamy kerangas forests and peat swamps of Borneo. It exhibits teeth connected to the back of the pitcher lid which often can be observed secreting nectar. Nepenthes bicalcarata is a true lowlander and appreciates warm temperatures and high humidity with large pot.
The form sold here is from Marudi and has a higher neck and a more bulbous shape compared to other bicalcarata in cultivation. We've been growing out the larger specimens listed here for years. They would make excellent additions to a breeding program. Be sure not to miss out!
This pitcher plant is considered a Lowland Tropical plant. Please see our Shipping and Guarantees policy for cold/hot weather shipping guidelines.
