Nepenthes ampullaria x rafflesiana, CAR-0181 is a vigorous lowland hybrid with beautiful pitcher shapes bringing out the best in both parents. This particular grex uses our very squat female ampullaria "Purple Striped" clone (last photo) with a solid deep purple pitcher body and striped peristome and our male rafflesiana 'Thick Lip" which has purple pitchers with a pronounced lip. Plants are all seed grown individuals so some variability should be expected. We anticipate some amazing color variants out of this grex.
