This is an incredible clone of Nepenthes spectabilis Giant x talangensis from Borneo Exotics. It's a vigorous grower under highland conditions and exhibits some of the best pitcher coloration of any Nepenthes we have seen. The pitcher body is richly spotted purple but the most magical aspect is the peristome. They open up purple/red and iridescent yellow striped and over time the stripes slowly spread out while the exterior rim of the peristome color darkens. However, the interior remains yellow which causes a fading out effect. This plant is male and an excellent breeder as well.
