This plant was bred by Christian Klein, the famous German nurseryman with one of the world's best veitchii collections. The cross was done between a striped veitchii from the Kelabit Highland and an extremely squat, pink variety with candy striped peristome.
Each of the offspring is a genetically distinct individual and the traits range across the siblings. All photos here are the exact plant for sale. The plant should flower in the next year given proper conditions. It certainly could become a cornerstone to any breeding program.
