This species was one of the most magnificent botanical discoveries of the decade! It bears the name of the famous naturalist David Attenborough and certainly lives up to it. It hails from the Phillipine island of Palawan where it grows on the ultramafic slopes of Mt. Victoria. The pitchers are enormous and have been documented to capture small mammals such as rats. It’s a slow and steady grower and prefers highland conditions. We grow it in mixes with mineral components such as burnt earth, laterite, or fluorite (Seachem) but don’t think it’s a necessity since we’ve seen stunning specimens cultivated in organic mixes.

Popcorn bidding is an anti-sniping feature that extends the auction time by a small
amount to give each participant a fair chance to place their final bid.
