Nepenthes spathulata has always been one of our favorite species. It is a highland grower with its range extending along Sumatra’s southernmost parts to the Barisan Range. Plants typically exhibit a green pitcher body with gaping red/purple peristome. The pitchers can attain impressive size. The plants for sale are from Borneo Exotics, BE-3175. The single clone for sale is a female and as a parent it has produced some exceptionally vigorous hybrids. Though we have found Nepenthes spathulata to be tolerant of many changes to its environment, it is rather exacting in its temperature requirements so we would only recommend this plant for people with solid highland conditions (in particular cool nights).
