Live Arrival Guarantee
All plants are guaranteed to arrive alive and healthy. This means that the plant will not be displaying any distress beyond what would be expected due to being shipped. Some brown leaves, dead pitchers or traps and minor cosmetic damage to foliage can happen in the shipping process and will not have any long-term impact on plant health. Some older roots may show signs of decay but will be regarded as a natural part of a healthy plant's senescence if healthy new roots are present.
Plants are living things and each variety has an acceptable temperature range which we can guarantee live arrival. If temperatures are outside of this range, shipments can be held or shipped with weather protective packaging.
If there are any plant health issues upon arrival, please contact us at service@carnivero.com within 48 hours of receipt of the plant and provide photos of the entire plant. We’ll quickly address any issues.
Please also note the terms of Pre-order plants and bare-root rhizome plants if they apply (We rarely offer pre-order and bare-root rhizome plants so the special terms don't apply unless specifically stated in the product listing).
The live arrival guarantee may be voided in instances where the customer fails to provide a USPS deliverable address, fails to collect packages within a timely manner or does not facilitate carrier inspection of damaged packaging. Details are provided in our Shipping Policies.
Plant Sizing Guidelines and Photo Representation
We strive to accurately represent the size, quality and characteristics of all plants our customers will receive. We state our Sizing Guidelines in all product listings.
For “Specimen ID” product listings, we provide photos of the exact plant you will receive. The photo for the plant will be displayed when the “Specimen ID” is selected in the drop down menu. Photos are generally taken recently. It’s possible the plant may have grown and will be larger than the photo. The older pitchers/traps/leaves of the plant may have also experienced normal levels of natural senescence.
For all other product listings, our Sizing Guidelines are regarded as the primary selection criteria. We also include photos that are representative of the size, quality and characteristics of the plants for sale. In most product listings, photos of mature specimens (or the parent plants for new crosses) are displayed as default. Different "Size" options are available in a drop down menu for these listings. A representative photo will be displayed when the “Size” in the dropdown menu is selected. We always strive to have photos of every “Size” variant we have in stock. In a small number of product listings, we might not have a photo for every variant that is available. If this is the case, the default photo will be displayed. If you do come across a listing that has a variant without a corresponding photo, please reach out to us and we'll be happy to update the listing.
Please note there may also be some mixed listings which may have drop down menu options for both “specimen ID” and “Size” variant plants. The above descriptions for each respective type of product listing apply.
Because plants are living things that are constantly growing, there may be some variation among available plants. We try to include photos of the range of possible variants. If there are specific characteristics you are looking for, please make a request at checkout under the "Special Instructions for seller" section in your cart before checkout and we will do our best to accommodate.
Discount Codes and Promotions
We do not allow promotions, discounts, or coupon code stacking unless otherwise stated. This includes shipping promotions, free mystery plants, free mystery cuttings, and so on. Only one coupon code per customer for promotions that apply.
Returns
We do not accept returns of healthy plants. If a plant arrives dead or in unacceptable condition, we will send a replacement plant of similar value. Please email us with photos and written description of the damage within 48 hours of the plant's arrival to receive a replacement. Please contact us at service@carnivero.com for further information. We may request the damaged plant to be returned and a pre-paid return label will be provided. Any plants being returned must be shipped within 1 business day of the return label being issued. The return shipment date will be confirmed via tracking or an acceptance receipt issued from the carrier.
If you feel that you have received the wrong product, please contact us at service@carnivero.com within 48 hours of receiving the product.

Refunds and Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled up until they are being prepared for shipment. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of purchase will be offered a full refund. Requests made after 24 hours will be offered store credit.
